Your privacy is at the core of how ImgOpt is built. This Privacy Policy explains how ImgOpt ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our application on your Mac. The short version: your files never leave your device, and we collect nothing.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

ImgOpt is a fully on-device utility. It has no network access entitlement and literally cannot transmit your files or any data off your Mac.

• No Uploads: All image and PDF processing happens in-process, on your device. Your files are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
• No Tracking: We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising SDKs. Our privacy manifest declares exactly nothing collected.
• No Accounts: ImgOpt has no sign-in, no user accounts, and no remote telemetry. There is nothing for us to log on our own infrastructure.

2. App Permissions & Local Access

• File Access: ImgOpt only accesses the files and folders you explicitly drop in or select, for the sole purpose of optimizing them. Output is written only to the destination you choose.
• Sandboxed & Hardened: ImgOpt runs in the macOS App Sandbox with the hardened runtime. It only touches files you grant it access to, and nothing else on your system.

3. Your Files and Originals

ImgOpt never silently renames or overwrites your source files. Optimized output is written to the destination you select, and originals stay exactly where they are unless you decide otherwise. Because everything is local, you remain in complete control of every file at all times.

4. Purchases

The optional one-time Premium unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details, Apple ID, or any personal information related to your purchase. Purchase validation and restoration are handled by Apple's StoreKit.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because ImgOpt stores nothing on our servers, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete. Any presets or settings you create are stored locally on your Mac, and may remain until removed by you or the system.

6. Children's Privacy

ImgOpt does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 — because we do not collect personal information at all.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
